This unique workshop combines a book study with live application and practice!
The UFLI Foundations book explores reading fundamentals based on research and evidence-based data (Lane & Contesse, 2022). This manual provides educators with step-by-step instructional plans for whole-class or intervention settings. This workshop has three sessions, two book study meetings, and a live practice day. During the face-to-face portions (July 17th), participants will develop a sound wall, practice implementation of instruction and skills, and make connections to all aspects of literacy instruction. A classroom sound wall is a powerful tool that helps students connect spoken sounds (phonemes) to their written forms (graphemes).
