Do you want to know more about paraprofessionals' vital role in a school and classroom? Then this workshop series is for you! Paraprofessionals provide scaffolding and support for students. They also face unique challenges that teachers and other educators do not experience. This workshop series is designed for paraprofessionals. Over the school year, we will meet for monthly power hours. These sessions are designed to provide paras with a general overview of special education, outline the responsibilities of a para in the classroom, and learn evidence-based instructional approaches that can support all learners in the classroom. Each session focuses on a different topic, such as supporting students with challenging behaviors, using behavior-specific feedback, supporting students with reading and math challenges, creating collaborative relationships, collecting data, and so much more. This workshop series is offered virtually through Zoom. There are ten sessions in this workshop series; participants must attend at least six sessions.
These workshop sessions meet on Zoom!
